Happy Birthday Cooper!

On Mack's post I wrote a little about the Birthday Day but still getting used to having two I can't write the same for Cooper. I will say that this last week I have thought back a lot to the adventure of getting them here. I look at it as one of the best days of my life. I LOVE the day our babies are born. That January day was just going to be another day. But deep down inside I wanted it to be different. I had a scheduled appointment with the specialist I saw monthly and Drew took the day off work. The reason for the day off was... we were suppose to be getting the news about the discordance in growth with the babies. The thing that sticks out in our minds is when the specialist walked in our room after only previewing our preliminary ultrasound pics and told us it was time to have the babies! I was kidding myself when I told the rad tech I was o.k. that day and that I would wait until Dr. Leavitt said I could have the babies. I wanted them to come today! Not being able see the babies with Liberty and Burton was a hard thing for them at the time too. More for Liberty than Burton. Looking only through a window was not acceptable. The weather was horrible last year driving to Idaho Falls to see them everyday but wonderful to watch once we were home and NOT going anywhere until March 23. The twins didn't go anywhere until then. They only went to the Doctor, and Grandma's and Grandpa's a couple of times before that. There is alot I could say but baby picture above is one of my favorites. They from day one have been connected. Always still in one another's space. I love looking into their isolette and seeing them hold hands or arms drapped across one another's body, or even pulling on each other's ears. Now when they are close Mack will bite Cooper's finger, or Grab Coops binkie... look at it.... then throw it! Well, WE love these boys. They still can't get loved enough by the older brother and sister . Cooper is not far from walking. He is a kid full of expression. He loves to clap and sing "If your happy and you know it" or "bringing home a baby bumble bee." He is just like Drew and can laugh at anything.

Happy Birthday Fun

We sent Liberty and Burton out this morning and this is what they built. They each had rolled a big ball by themselves. Drew just needed to stack them. I hope it storms all day.Posted by Picasa

Happy Birthday Mack!

Our babies are 1! Alot has changed from this time last year. Mack is rolling like crazy and can get anywhere he wants with a quick roll. He was the first to get teeth and we didn't even know he had them. He is the more quiet one of the two. Don't get me wrong, we hear him scream just as much as Cooper but during the day he doesn't have the babbles like Cooper. He is more quiet as he plays. Which could be more trouble. Quiet is never good when kids are playing. Yet, as I say that I realize that is always what I am trying to have while they play QUIET! A little advice - peptalk to myself. We had a great day yesterday and are still partying today.
We started with jelly filled donuts for breakfast, a nap, mac & cheese for lunch, and another quick nap for some of us before we broke into the festivities. We were blessed with snow through the night and so we decided it was time for the twins to see what that was like. Mack got to try it anyway. Cooper was the one us that didn't take a nap and needed one badly by the time 3:00p.m. rolled around. So, Mack got to ride on the sled behind the 4-wheeler and sit in the snow.
For the evening events we invited family over for mini cheeseburgers, pop, chips, and CAKE. Posted by Picasa

I'm a Sun-BEAN!

He loves being a sunbean! His teachers are Connie and Katie Gentillon. He was a little hesitant a few weeks prior to the change. He really loves jumping all over Brother Butler. Our family sits behind them in sacrament meeting too. Poor Brother Butler is so kind to let Burton climb on him or even if we're lucky fall asleep on his lap. I didn't even realize that he was going to be a sunbeam. The connection of primary and Burton coming together hadn't even crossed my mind until the weekend of the transition. I felt kind of bad because I remember vocalizing the anticipation with Liberty a ton. Poor second child. Is this what Camber whines about? Not having any baby pictures or book because she the second child. This transition was also accompanied with the move to early church. Burton had his clothes arranged the night before and looked so handsome. Burton standing next to me right now is saying he loved writing, singing, and NOTHING he is mad at Liberty right now. I love my little sunbeam! His cousin Briggs says he is a "SUN BURN". Whatever they are I know Jesus loves them.

Christmas Traditions

Christmas Eve once we were home from the Park party . We opened our jammies and every one but Liberty was soo exhausted. Burton's head hit the pillow and he was gone. Liberty had been given a sleeping potion from her primary teacher on sunday so decided to give it a try. She was really worried that by drinking it she would not wake up. Drew and I gave it a try. I would love a good nights sleep. It really didn't take her long to fall asleep after that but was the nerves I remember having as a child. The nerves and excitement of Christmas. We wrote our letter to Santa before all of this and it wasn't long before the pitter patter of working elves could be heard in our silent home.
Burton was the first on awake this morning at 8:00 a.m. and I don't even think he remembered it was Christmas. He walked in our room and wanted to take a BATH! We collected the kids in our room, went for the twins, and then I went to make bottles & checked to see if SANTA had really found our home. He did and how did Burton's basketball hoop fit in his sleigh. It really is magic I tell ya!

Christmas 2008

Mack has been caught several times under the Christmas tree. Just the week before Christmas he had started rolling under and pulling off the ornaments he could reach and the lights. I started to worry he might get a buzz of electricity through him. I at this time had seen so much physical progress in him. On Christmas Eve about 9 p.m. Grandma Gentillon was holding him and he felt warm. He continued to get warmer and thank goodness at that point we took him home because I couldn't handle the game Curses any more! I was not in the mood to humiliate myself that night. My sense of humor ---- out the door! We loaded up for our five minute drive home and let the kids open their Christmas Eve gift! More of Christmas in a minute. Now, as the week progresses Mack gets worse just like Cooper did in November. It is so hard to see them go all the time to limp rag with a ragging temperature 104. To make Mack different than Cooper the Doctor has to have other concerns 1. fever 2. anemic 3. growth of his head and development. Being the holiday weekend I get to wait for an answer until MONDAY!!!! Do they not know I AM A WORRY WORT. Dr. Hatch saw Mack on Monday and began Rocephin shots just like we did with Cooper and things began to pull around immediately. He broke out with a rash and the illness was probably Roseolla?. As for the other concerns his head was normal but will be checked again in a month just to make sure it continues growing they way it is suppose to .

I still have figured out how to submit a lot of photos at once. Sooo, I guess I will do them in sections. Our Christmas Vacation started Friday, December 19th. That was the day of my preschool Christmas party and the last day of Kindergarten for Liberty due to a snow storm on Sunday that gave them snow day on Monday. Beautiful snowstorm but a crazy day. I was trying to figure out this calendar idea I had created in my mind for Drew's parents and it was giving me the worst headache. I hate computers sometimes. I should have played outside with the kids and done fun things, it was the perfect snow man building snow. Later, that evening as we ventured over to eat White Chili with my family it was crazy to see how much snow had really fallen that day. The door of the district office was plastered. Mom and Dad's front yard had snow level to their front step and it continued to fall.
At the preschool party we had so much fun. It started with a learning activity that included art. Matching numbers to the reindeer herd. On the reindeer noses they dabbed glue and sprinkled red glitter to make them a Rudolph. Santa made an appearance and then our gift exchange. This year we took a walking field trip to the post office, mailed a letter to Santa, and the kids even recieved a reply from him as well. He's the best guy! The clips were our gifts to MOM & DAD. Aren't they cute. I was soo pleased at how they turned out. I wish they could all stay on my cute magnet board.
