Back to school.....Liberty

We tried to savor the last few days of summer vacation and we wore ourselves out. Last night I laid in bed until around 2 a.m. listening to the conversations of firemen trying to put out a fire in Wolverine Canyon, while writing several blog posts in my head, while dreaming of how the first day of preschool should be, and on and on I went. But after the long days and napless afternoons I was still awake. Praying that this would be a GREAT school year for Liberty. That she would LOVE her teacher as much as she did last year, praying for less paniced mornings, less crying, one that give her confidence, and that she would LOVE learning like she has in the past. On Monday we broke out my cotton candy machine I got for my birthday and we made batch after tiny batch of cotton candy with tags to take to the neighbor kids to wish them a Happy Back to School season. We included our neighbor Sister Mecham (90yrs old) and Sister Johnson because they LOVE cotton candy.
Last week I was reading through a magazine and found these cute candy pencils. Well, its a rolos packaged candy wrapped with yellow paper, aluminum foil, pink for the eraser, and a hershey kiss for the pencil tip. To top it off we added some ribbon and the kids signed them. We took them to their Back to School meet your teacher Registration Afternoon to give to their teachers. Camber and I were on a roll and ended up making them for their primary teachers too.
Liberty came home from school and was all smiles...AHHHH! Now we've trimmed up Burton's hair, picked out his clothes for his first day of KINDERGARTEN tomorrow. Heaven Help me........BOY is he different than Liberty:}. I am told its ok because he is a Boy! I am praying for no naughty bench.....crossing my fingers. He is always in a dead run or teasing that sister. I'll post the results tomorrow.
