Back 2 School .....

Here we are.  Tossed the freedom of summer to the side and are gearing ourselves up for the LOVE of a routine.  I must add with the beginning of preschool came the desire for a stricter routine for the MOM and I must admit {It feels GOOD!} It is like the beginning of January - New Year's Resolutions kinda thing for me.   Back to School traditions in our home are 1.  NO wearing new school shoes or clothes until the magical first day.  2.  I make the entering kindergarten child their farewell breakfast ;)  I have two that are already school goers so they both got a little of their favorite.  Burton's request was scrambled eggs and Liberty's was cinnamon rolls { I jazzed the frosting up with a little color and sprinkles to make them look like apples}.  As exciting as those two sound,  that it with the traditions ;).  I did make cupcakes to look like apples for their return from school so we could eat snacks and visit about their day.  The magic word in that conversation was GOOD!

This year our school district opted for a four day school week with longer days in school for the kids.  I've heard it's hard on the elementary students for the first month...... but so far in our house NO Problemo.  The kids LOVE their teachers, Liberty gets a locker, Burton wants to play football, Cooper is already six with a girlfriend, and Mack's latest saying when asked to do something is " I can't .... I have a fat butt."  Ahh!  There they are all grown up.
