just because ......

I had fun making these cupcakes after stealing the idea from a friend. I made them several times because they just turned out way to cute. I am also a person who needs something in my hand for a drop in visit type thing. The ones on the blog I stole them from are still cuter but I had to share. They were a fun first day of school treat, I wrapped some up to take to my visiting teaching sisters, and there I got the cute comment. One of sisters I visit has a six year old girl. She took the wrapped package away from her mom and then asked for assistance in opening. When the mom realized what the little girl was doing she grabbed them quickly from and said these were going to sit on the shelf for a couple of days to look at. Made me feel good.
AND my kitchen .... I painted the cupboards this summer. I had to be more quick than OCD but they are done and I feel better about them. We sprayed the hardware with a cool textured spray to look more like that of the oil brushed bronze. We added some new recipe book boxes and range hood and hopefully there will be more to come.
